Below is a list of cherry-picked projects that I have completed for various businesses and individuals. Keep in mind that where data is shown, it is fabricated for the sake of privacy.
Android / MacOS / Linux / PC
A low-stimulus collection of educational mini-games built specifically to address challenges my child was facing, but designed for children with similar struggles. Currently features 11 activities, and a suite of analytical tools and customizations for parents.
Android / Linux / PC
A 2d arcade game designed for pc and mobile. Title is a work in progress.
Android
A project that helped me kickstart my development skills. This app was designed to organize a user's movie collection then subsequently launch a chosen movie on the platform they redeemed it on. The website listed shows the progress of the app's development, which has since been discontinued. The visuals were rudimentary, but much of the backend was my primary focus during this experiment.
Android / Linux / PC
A tool used exclusively to help me fill out a private database. Because I am often on-the-go and cannot dedicate all my time to sitting at my computer, I opted to bring my database to my secure Firebase Firestore Database and Realtime Database via account authentication.
There is nothing to show as the application is only intended to be used as a tool by me. By this, I mean that it is hard on they eyes to most, but serves me well.
Microsoft Excel
A workbook environment that transitioned physical receipt tapes into digital records without dramatically altering the way employees performed related tasks.
The Old Workflow:
1. Mailroom receives payments, generating receipts as mail is sorted.
2. Baskets are sent up to Cashier who eventually generates their own receipt tape, scans both.
The Problem:
1. The Cashier's receipt tape would not always balance to the Mailroom's, leading to a full audit to discover why if the cashier was not expecting a discrepancy.
2. The Cashier spends extra time scanning receipt tapes every day.
The Tapes Digitization Solution:
1. Mailroom creates their receipt tape via an Excel UserForm.
2. The Mailroom presses a button to send their data to a holding area, and have it printed into a user-friendly and visually appealing pdf.
3. The Cashier receives updated data reports from the holding area, informing them of the incoming workload.
4. The Cashier processes the workload and creates their receipt tape in their robust version of the Excel UserForm, which allows for cross-tape analysis, cross-basket inclusion, and removal of rejected items.
5 The Cashier presses a button to mark completed datapoints for future auto-deletion, and to print a slightly more detailed pdf report.
6. All workbooks automatically clean out their own data.
7. As it was before, the appropriate party will destroy digital documentation according to policy.
Microsoft Excel
A freelance Excel/VBA project that I worked on for a local small business. The workbook served to incorporate all the business' financial movements. It automatically renders analysis tools and generates multiple financial reports like income statements and balance sheets.
Microsoft Excel
Customer requested that data be extracted from table of paychecks written and pdfs of paystubs be generated and filed appropriately at the press of a button.
Microsoft Excel
A colleague and I have painstakingly collected well-defined data of over 300 ABC (Antecedent-Behavior-Consequence) documents. We designed plans for an Excel workbook to analyze the data, and I have executed those plans using VBA. This project was extensive, and was tested at higher levels before mass-implementation. Some users have taken advantage of the workbook's customizability and creatively repurposed it for other uses. Legal documents have also been finalized by using the tool's custom dashboard.
Microsoft Access
Client was the recipient of multiple standardized reports, regularly extracting data to generate a final report. Client requested a solution that would centralize all data and build the final report automatically.
Microsoft Excel
My worksite had traditionally created biweekly schedules using Excel. I redesigned their workbook to automatically build itself based on information the user inputs. Most of the project is written in VBA, with some standard cell formulation.
For use in teams under 50 people,.
After entering each teammate and their preferred schedule, a biweekly schedule could be generated automatically with custom shift times and bypassing holidays. Balancing tools were integrated to allow the person building the schedule the ability to maintain shift ratios (2 people scheduled for the morning shift, 3 for evening, 1 for overnight)
Microsoft Excel
A personal project to test my skills.
A complex workbook that calculated net pay from hours worked.
Took into consideration all deductions and utilized tax tables.
